Community Fund Ohio is a nonprofit Trust Advisor that has served Ohio residents with disabilities for over 25 years. We were established by disability advocates in 1993, with initial financial contributions from most Ohio County DD Boards, and we are governed by a Board of Directors from across Ohio. Community Fund handles trust establishment and the day-to-day trust administration. We work with a corporate Trustee who offers professional investment and accounting services. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and personalized attention to our clients.
We offer Pooled Special Needs Trusts to help protect eligibility for government benefits and fund current and future needs for Ohio residents with disabilities. We maintain a separate Beneficiary accounts and the funds are only “pooled” for investment purposes.
We fund current and future needs by making grants to Ohioans with disabilities and to Ohio nonprofits that serve people with disabilities. All grants must be utilized for disability-related purposes. We accept grant applications at any time.
Since our inception, Community Fund Ohio has opened and administered trust accounts for over 5,000 Ohio residents with disabilities and made grants for the benefit of over 90 individuals and over 65 nonprofits. Through our careful trust administration, we distribute approximately $10,000,000 each year to meet our Beneficiaries’ needs, while protecting their eligibility for government benefits. Through our grant program, we provide funding of more than $200,000 each year for disability-related items and services.
